All RP's will be marked on the following criteria.
Firstly PRESENTATION, second FORMAT, third ORIGINALITY and fourth SPAG. Each point is worth 10 marks, giving a grand total for those of you ithout a Key Stage 1 in maths 40.
So let me explain how to get ten out of TEN !
Section 1: PRESENTATION
Presentation is the way you show your RP. Personal advise something that it sligned left in default font, is not well presented. That does not means change the colour every other word. It means learning how to use the the UBBC code. Basically it works like html except in square brackets. The format that usually works best is [center*}[b*][/b*][/center*]
By using UBBC Code to your advantage you can make the crowd chant:
Use colours to sperate the speakers. Presentation is important in order to keep the reader interested.
Section 2: FORMAT
Format basically means setting up your RP. Chapter's are a good way of doing this but don't get too carried away with telling a story. Format is general manners really. Putting SPEECH inside "quotation mark" putting actions or descption inide *asterisks* emphasising stuuf in bold or italics. Its like presentation but its more about the writing and making it more of a descrpitive coneversation. Presentaion is also the way you tell your story. Generally keep things in the ring or in the locker room. If you start getting stupid and have it in a areoplane or secret lair then it gets confusing. Set the scene at the start.
Section 3: ORIGINALITY
Basically being new. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE DO NOT POST YOUR ENTRANCE ! Esepcially if you have written out the lyrics to a very long song. Cos then I have to scroll past it ! Never copy and paste anything into an RP unless its the RP itself, this includes having stacks and stacks of RP's and changing the names.....using an RP simulator (you use it you die). Orignality usually involves some sort of description, if it is descprition I don't want to read a novel on it. Just be original in what you say, use a quote by all means like I'm that damn good. But I don't wanna a whole RP of that. Originality means do something different tht dsnt mean rite ur rp in txt. If you do I kill you....
Section 4: SPAG
Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar. Yep its the old favourite. I'm not looking for perfect speeling all the way through. All t's crossed and i's dotted. Nor am I looking for picture perfect grammar. Some of you are from Canada and most Canadian's mother tongue is French. Write your RP in a word processor Word, Notepad anything with a spellchecker. Like I said to get full marks just may it understandable. If you mean to say rope and you say rop then I can work around it but if you want to write rope and you write rocpr then we may need to talk about uping your doseage.....
This is the official MARK SCHEME all GM's are to use it from now on.
